The test at a glance

Why prepare

One attempt, a few hundred places

Four schools, one test and thousands of applicants. Students get one attempt, in Year 8. Preparation, not just natural ability, is what makes the difference on the day.

Our method

Three steps to test day

1

Master the content

We cover everything on the test from the ground up. Maths focuses on core theory and how to apply it. English covers writing, with individual feedback, and weekly comprehension.

2

Master the questions

Students learn every question type and the fastest, most reliable way to answer each one.

3

Master the exam

A full timed mock exam every study day, marked and reviewed, so the real test feels routine.

What's included

A teacher on the floor

Questions parents ask

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Your child joins one full class with real exam-style questions, at no cost, and you get an honest read on where they're at. No pressure and no lock-in.

When should we start?

Ideally a year or more before the test. A shorter runway still helps.

Is writing covered?

Yes. Writing is 20% of the score. Creative and persuasive tasks are coached and marked against the official criteria.

How big are the classes?

Up to 6 students. We keep classes small on purpose, so every child gets personal attention and teachers can tailor their help to each student.

Is the study room included?

Yes. It's open seven days a week and included with classes.

My child is bright but not a natural test-taker. Will this help?

Yes. Along with content, we focus on technique and timing, which is often what holds capable students back.
